JOB PURPOSE:

Controls and oversees installations, upgrades, maintenance and support of IT Infrastructure Services. Ensures IT systems are designed and implemented in compliance to Corporate IT standards. Ensures security, availability and smooth functioning of IT systems that are part of Infrastructure & Field Services, Passenger & Security systems, Cyber Security & Risk Management and Standards & Compliance. Ensures Processes and standard operating procedures are documented, reviewed and updated in line with ITIL framework and ISO 20000 & ISO 27001 standards.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Work with Infrastructure Technology Architects to design solutions in line with corporate IT standards to meet the business requirements.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis of reported incidents in operational systems and ensure accurate changes to system configuration following the standard change management process.
  • Manage the delivery of infrastructure projects complying with established procedures, quality standards and methods to achieve targets of quality, cost, benefits and timelines.
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal teams involved in both projects and operational maintenance of systems. Ensure suppliers deliver their services within SLAs.
  • Ensure 24x7 smooth operations of IT, implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions to improve systems availability and stability.
  • Ensure that all incidents reported to IT service desk are responded to efficiently and in a timely manner to reduce business impact.
  • Ensure IT processes and procedures are documented, implemented and followed in line with all Corporate IT policies and ISO 20000 & ISO 27001 standards for MATAR IT Services.
  • Comply with existing corporate policies and procedures that govern procurement, resourcing and finance to meet business objectives of MATAR.

 

Job Requirement

1. At least 5+ years of hands‑on experience in OT/ICS security or OT infrastructure within critical infrastructure environments (e.g., airport, utilities, oil & gas), with direct exposure to safety‑critical systems.
2. Working knowledge of airport OT/ICS systems, such as BMS/CBMS, baggage handling systems, fire alarm systems, airfield lighting, or similar operational platforms, including their availability and safety constraints.
3. Practical experience with OT network segmentation, including zoning concepts (Purdue/Levels 0–4), VLANs, and firewall‑based separation between IT and OT environments. 
4. Ability to support OT–IT convergence initiatives, including reviewing integrations, defining secure data flows, and ensuring OT systems are onboarded without weakening segregation or safety requirements. 
5. Hands‑on exposure to OT security technologies, such as OT firewalls, IDS/NDR tools, PAM, Secure Remote Access (SRA), endpoint protection, or centralized logging solutions in OT environments.
6. Working understanding of OT SOC (OTSOC) operations, including log collection, asset visibility, alert triage, and collaboration with incident response teams for OT‑specific threats. 
7. Knowledge of OT/ICS protocols and constraints, such as Modbus, BacNet, OPC, or vendor‑specific industrial communications, and the impact of security controls on operational uptime.
8. Familiarity with ISA/IEC 62443 concepts, including zones, conduits, defense‑in‑depth, and security requirements mapping, sufficient to support architecture reviews and compliance activities. 
9. Experience supporting OT system onboarding or upgrades, including participation in architecture reviews, change management, and validation of security controls during deployments.
10. Ability to produce and maintain technical documentation, such as architecture diagrams, security standards, design notes, or onboarding checklists for OT environments.
11. Strong cross‑functional collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with OT operations, facilities teams, IT infrastructure, SOC analysts, and vendors/OEMs.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience:
  • High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent with Minimum 5 years of job-related experience
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 5 years of job-related experience
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in OT/ICS environments, OT cybersecurity, or industrial infrastructure security
  • Certifications such as GICSP, ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Expert / Specialist or equivalent OT security certifications are preferred
