About the Role

An exciting opportunity to join the Qatar Airways Group IT Customer & Digital Platforms team as an AEP Architect. This role is responsible for designing, governing, and delivering enterprise-scale Customer Data Platform (CDP) solutions using Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), ensuring alignment with business objectives, privacy regulations, and enterprise architecture standards. The role will lead end-to-end CDP architecture, covering data ingestion, schema design, identity resolution, governance, activation, and integration with downstream marketing and analytics platforms. You will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineering teams, marketing technology teams, and external vendors to deliver scalable, secure, and future‑ready customer data capabilities.

Your duties would include:

  • Own the end-to-end architecture of Adobe Experience Platform, including ingestion, transformation, storage, governance, and activation layers.

  • Design and govern XDM schemas, identity namespaces, profile enablement, and event taxonomy across web, mobile, CRM, loyalty, and offline sources.

  • Define and enforce data governance, consent, and privacy controls (labels, policies, usage constraints) in alignment with regulatory and corporate standards.

  • Lead integration design between AEP and upstream/downstream platforms (GCP data lake, CRM, marketing channels, BI, personalization tools).

  • Provide technical leadership and architectural direction for CDP-related initiatives, PoCs, and large-scale implementations.

  • Collaborate with data engineering teams on batch and streaming ingestion pipelines, APIs, and performance optimization.

  • Work with marketing and business teams to enable real-time customer profiles, segmentation, and orchestration use cases.

  • Evaluate and manage vendor-led implementations, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and delivery quality.

  • Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, resilient, and future-proof, aligned with Adobe best practices and enterprise architecture principles.

  • Prepare architecture documentation, standards, design reviews, and solution blueprints.

  • Provide technical leadership and advise key architectural decisions concerning the platform and the supporting technologies.

  • Support production operations, issue triage, optimization, and continuous improvement of the CDP platform.

Qualification

We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional to join our IT Customer & Digital Platforms team. The ideal candidate should possess the following:

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 6 years of job-related experience

  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) including: XDM schema design, Identity Service, Profile & segmentation, Batch and streaming ingestion and Governance and consent management

  • Strong experience in Data Architecture, CDP design, and system integration

  • Experience working with cloud data platforms (e.g. GCP, AWS, Azure)

  • Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical architecture

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

  • Managerial skills - Ability to train and develop subordinate's skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members and conflict management.

Preferred

  • 8+ years of specialized experience in data platforms, CDP, or MarTech ecosystems

  • Experience integrating AEP with CRM, BI, marketing automation, personalization, and analytics tools

  • Exposure to real-time customer journey orchestration (e.g. Adobe Journey Optimizer)

  • Strong understanding of data privacy, consent frameworks, and regulatory compliance

  • Adobe AEP / CDP certifications are a plus

  • Experience leading architecture reviews and mentoring technical teams
