Senior Project Specialist - MRO

About the role
Lead execution, monitoring, documentation and risk management of MRO Business Development projects, ensuring timely tracking of progress and regular updates to achieve targets and overall readiness, while aligning with strategic objectives and delivering defined project outcomes effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

•    Coordinate project planning and execution, monitor progress, organize review meetings, collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders and resolve issues to keep projects on track.
•    Manage project financials, including budgeting, expense tracking and reporting, ensuring transparency and accountability across all project activities.
•    Develop business cases and justify investments to support project initiatives, ensuring alignment with priorities and clear value delivery.
•    Drive the development, recommendation, and execution of a comprehensive project roadmap aligned with MRO Business Development objectives and long-term goals.
•    Ensure end-to-end execution of project plans across all MRO functional areas, working closely with key stakeholders and internal departments (e.g., IT, Finance, Procurement, Contracts, CAMO, and other business units).
•    Act as a central point of contact for stakeholder engagement, managing cross-functional collaboration to ensure aligned, timely, and effective project delivery.
•    Ensure alignment and secure buy-in from MRO leadership and stakeholders through regular updates and clear communication to support decision-making.
•    Monitor compliance with project charters, SLAs, and contractual obligations, and support commercial processes such as invoicing, vendor management, and payment tracking.
•    Identify, assess, and manage project risks, proactively addressing issues and implementing mitigation plans.
•    Ensure all risks, assumptions, and constraints are properly documented, communicated, and escalated when required.
•    Govern and continuously improve the MRO project management framework, including policies, tools, processes, and governance forums to maintain consistency and efficiency.
•    Promote project management best practices by driving awareness, training, and adoption of standardized methodologies across teams.
•    Perform other department duties related to his / her position as directed by the Head of the Department
•    Establish the department or teams objectives and priorities to align with and support business objectives.
•    Regularly evaluate the department or teams objectives, plans, procedures and practices, and makes appropriate changes if needed.
•    Oversee and supervise employees. Direct daily activities, recruit, train, develop and discipline to ensure a high standard of service delivery.
•    Train and develop other employees, to ensure succession planning is in place.
•    To be committed and contribute to the National talent development, by coaching the national developees, preparing them for a career with boundless potential. Leading to the program’s continued growth and success.
