Description

You will lead the Procurement function within the Technical Strategic Procurement Department, driving strategic procurement initiatives, coordinating RFP, contract management, and supplier performance. You will ensure operational excellence, cost efficiency, risk mitigation, and value creation through effective leadership, stakeholder engagement, and execution of long-term sourcing strategies.

Key Responsibilities include:

  1. Lead the Procurement Team, aligning procurement practices with operational strategy and long-term business goals.

  2. Develop and execute sourcing strategies that enhance cost-effectiveness, compliance, and service delivery.

  3. Shape and implement best-in-class procurement operating models and processes across functions.

  4. Provide actionable insights and data-backed recommendations to optimize procurement and contracting operations.

  5. Knowledge of aviation technical certification requirements and compliance.

  6. Manage full lifecycle procurement and contracting activities for major technical and capital projects.

  7. Lead contract negotiation, and performance tracking.

  8. Ensure full compliance with all regulatory frameworks and internal governance.

  9. Engage cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, technical leads, and finance to align procurement strategies with operational needs.

  10. Supervise and mentor the procurement team to achieve high standards in delivery, reporting, and compliance.

  11. Identify and drive initiatives to streamline procurement processes and systems.

  12. Lead implementation of risk management and control frameworks to reduce procurement risks.

Qualification

  1. Bachelor degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field with minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement of which at least 5 years must have been in an aviation environment, Proven experience of at least five (5) years in aviation technical procurement.

  2. Experience in managing procurement for complex technical projects and contract operations.

  3. Commercial and financial acumen, with experience in whole life cost modelling.

  4. Strong background in project/change management and procurement process optimization

  5. Deep expertise in Procurement& Contracts Management

  6. Aviation Procurement and Technical Sourcing (minimum 5 years)

  7. In depth knowledge of Supplier Furnished Equipment (SFE) and Buyer Furnished Equipment (BFE)

  8. Financial Analysis (whole life costing) experience

  9. Contract and Negotiation Skills.

  10. Regulatory and Compliance knowledge (including SB’s, STC’s and EUU’s)
