About the role:

Qatar Airways are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our HR Group Learning and Development team as a Security Learning and Development Specialist to be based in Doha, Qatar.

As the Security Learning and Development Specialist, you will be responsible for the facilitation and continuous improvement of security trainings across Qatar Airways Group, as well as approved external organisations in Doha and throughout the QR network. You will also ensure that certified trainings are delivered to the highest standard and the trainings reflect the guidance and direction of the governing bodies.

Specific responsibilities for the role include:

  • Facilitate learner focused training programs to a world-class standard, using adult learning and learner focused techniques

  • Conduct approved assessments to measure levels of learners’ competence

  • Monitor regulators standards to ensure training is compliant and latest

  • Implement effectiveness and efficiency of learning by delivering program to align with 70:20:10 principles

  • Design and develop security related courses and programs which comply with the security regulations and procedures and best practice methodology as directed by the Line Manager

  • Plan and design learning events (i.e., conferences, communities of practice, etc.) including implementing opportunities for members of staff to network, communicate, mentor and learn from each other

  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and customers within organisation to understand learning gaps within business to research and recommend the best practices in collaborative security-related learning

  • Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

Qualification

The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:

  • High school qualification/vocational qualification/diploma or equivalent with minimum 5 years of job-related experience OR Bachelor's degree or equivalent with minimum 4 years of job-related experience.

  • A formal aviation security trainer accreditation required from ICAO/IATA/Civil Aviation authority

  • Aviation security experience

  • Experience in Aviation Security Training

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills

  • Sound knowledge of MS Office suite

  • Experience in training in multi-cultural environments

  • Instructional ability

  • Aviation Security subject matter competence
