As a Planning Engineer Level 1 - Engine Facility to work under Technical - Engine Shop Management you will need to ensure thorough technical preparation and coordination, Scheduled/Unscheduled Engine/APU Maintenance tasks planning to ensure completion within allocated Turn Around Time with optimum use of resources.
Operational Accountabilities:
- Liaise with the Engineering Powerplant to forecast engine removal plans, engine maintenance program and engine Dispatch targets.
- Review Engineering work scope (EWS) for the required manpower, turnaround time, materials, special tools, and work scope constraints providing feedback to engineering during a schedule meeting to plan a smooth and timely accomplishment of agreed work scope.
- Review all packages (Engines, APU) received from fleet planning and conduct work scope evaluation.
- Prepare anticipated Workload forecast within the next 7 days to determine engine shop capacity with aim to plan and forecast man power requirements and enable engine shop to achieve operational targets
- Coordinate with resource scheduler to ensure adequate manpower, including certifying staff availability to accomplish planned task.
- Conduct daily meeting with engine facility production supervisor to ensure technical resolution of all issues arising during planned maintenance activities.
- Identify tasks with impending work stoppages and coordinate with respective section including 3rd party for resolution to achieve target release.
- Review of completed packages handled by PPC engine facility planner and ensure timely submission to relevant sections to meet Technical Procedure Manual requirements. Perform updating of Engine shop management dashboard report and provide status update on weekly and monthly basis.
- Oversee planning job activities to his shift to ensure optimum engine planner staff productivity is achieved.
- Complete trainings as assigned by Planning Supervisor within the due dates.
- Perform other department duties related to his / her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

Qualifications
- High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on Role) with Minimum 5 years of job-related experience OR
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 4 years of job-related experience
- Workshop Planning Experience.
- Thorough knowledge of maintenance manuals and has the ability to extract data from Maintenance and planning documents (CMM, EM, SRM, AMM, SB, AD).
- Sound knowledge and understanding of Air Legislation.
- Managerial skills - Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinate's skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
