About the role
Qatar Airways are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Flight Operations team as a Network and Pre-Operations Officer to be based in Doha, Qatar.

As a Network and Pre-Operations Officer, you will support Network and Pre-Operations Controller in IOC Network Operations in aspects of pre-tactical and daily flight operations tasks to ensure a safe and punctual running of airline programme.

Specific responsibilities for the role include:

  • Process landing permits and slots as per Pre-Ops/Network Controller instructions and ensure these are updated in TOPS operating system for a safe and timely flight operation.

  • Follow up aircraft movements and delay messages from HUB and outstations team to ensure IOC Network systems are updated in a timely manner.

  • Raise JIRA requests to update TOPS operating system restrictions as per the Pre-Ops/Network Controller instructions for smooth running of flight operations.

  • Performs a nightly check of holding slots (rolling 5-day window) for Level 3 airports to ensure safe operation.

  • Audit TOPS operating system to ensure correct cancellation and change codes have been applied (preceding 24 hours) to ensure timely flight operation.

  • Update Charter/Positioning Flight Briefs as instructed by Pre-Ops/Network Controller to ensure all stakeholders have access to the accurate information charters and positioning flights.

Qualifications

About you

The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:

  • High school qualification with minimum 4 years’ experience, preferably within an aviation environment.

  • Intermediate level of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access), and IT skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills, extremely detail oriented and ability to perform under pressure.

  • High-level problem-solving skills and ability to perform under pressure.

  • Excellent Communication Skills (Verbal & Written English).
