As the business expands, we are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to be part of Qatar Airways Cargo Operations Team in Doha as Manager Global Cargo Operations.
About the role
In this role, you will lead the global operational performance steering in conjunction with the RMCO/RCOMs and a team of regional analysts, via the establishment of an Operational Excellence Center (OEC).
This position’s role is to design, develop and implement the visibility required to manage performance with a proactive approach, building insights from available data and analyzing deviations to set the benchmark for a standardized, efficient and optimized operation.
As part of your role, your responsibilities will be inclusive of, but not limited to the following:
• In conjunction with the Head of Global Cargo Operations and the VP Cargo Operations, define and develop the KPI framework required to continuously and thoroughly manage the performance of the network.
• Via trend analysis and data deep dives, provide global and regional insights regarding areas of concern, deviations from process compliance and define/manage a pipeline of continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop daily, weekly and monthly global and regional performance reviews in direct coordination with the Regional Performance Analysts.
• Holds the regions accountable for their operational performance by closely monitoring the Quality Panel and deep diving on the root causes for deviations with regional Ops management.
• In conjunction with the Head of Global Cargo Operations develops, implements and continuously monitors a cost control framework with the aim of identifying deviations, securing committed savings and benchmarking cost ratios across the network.
• Leads the implementation and continuous improvement on the manpower calculation tool and is accountable for the global manpower budget calculation.
• Based on historical data builds complex operational models to forecast operational performance, station requirements and proactively identify potential areas of non-compliance/concern/focus.
• Responsible to ensure that employees at all levels understand work health and safety requirements and expectations through provision of relevant QR Group induction, information, instruction, training and supervision.
• Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, security, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the operation to assure employee safety, security, legislative compliance and delivery of high- quality service with a responsible environmental attitude.
• Take a direct and personal interest in reported injuries, incidents, near misses and hazards to ensure that appropriate reporting, investigation and response is being achieved.
• Drives the data management required to build performance dashboards for the different personas within the operation (station heads, regional heads, Executive Management, etc.)

Qualifications
About you
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least 8 years of job-related experience.
• Operations Management in Management Position
• Working knowledge of Operations Performance Management and Ground handling/Ramp/Cargo Warehouse Operations
• Management of large teams across multiple geographical regions
