Description

About the role

Qatar Airways are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Distribution team as a Manager Distribution Partnerships & Enablement to be based in Doha, Qatar.

As a Manager Distribution Partnerships & Enablement, you will own and manage Qatar Airways' external distribution relationships across all channel partners; including Global Distribution Systems (GDS/EDIFACT and NDC), aggregators, direct connect partners, and OTAs to ensure that every partnership is commercially structured, technically enabled, and actively contributing to Qatar Airways' distribution objectives. You will be responsible for building and sustaining the partner relationships, commercial frameworks, and enablement programmes that drive NDC adoption, channel diversification, and distribution cost efficiency. You will co-lead partner negotiations alongside the Senior Manager Distribution and VP, to bring deep knowledge of partner economics, contractual positions, and Qatar Airways' channel strategy to the table. You will work in close coordination with the Manager Distribution & Channel Economics to ensure all partnerships are grounded in sound unit economics, and hands off agreed technical requirements to the Manager Distribution Technology & Integration for delivery.

Specific responsibilities for the role include:

  • Own the full portfolio of Qatar Airways' distribution partner relationships by serving as the primary commercial point of contact for all GDS providers (EDIFACT and NDC), aggregators, direct connect partners, and OTAs, and ensuring relationships are actively managed, commercially structured, and aligned to QR's distribution strategy.
  • Lead the development and execution of the NDC rollout plan across all distribution partners by defining adoption targets by partner, managing the onboarding roadmap, and driving the commercial and operational enablement required to accelerate NDC penetration across the network.
  • Co-lead GDS and aggregator negotiations alongside the Senior Manager Distribution and VP Distribution & Commercial Efficiency by preparing commercial positions, managing negotiation workstreams, and ensuring all agreements reflect QR's channel economics objectives and strategic priorities.
  • Develop and own the direct connect initiation strategy by identifying, prioritising, and progressing direct API connectivity opportunities with key trade partners, corporates, and technology platforms, in coordination with the Manager Distribution Technology & Integration.
  • Maintain a working view of partner-level unit economics; tracking the cost and revenue contribution of key distribution partnerships and ensuring commercial decisions are grounded in sound financial logic.
  • Define the enablement framework for distribution partners; establishing the standards, support structures, and engagement models that ensure all channel partners are technically capable, commercially aligned, and actively supported in connecting to and selling Qatar Airways content effectively.
  • Manage the day-to-day commercial relationships with all distribution partners by conducting regular business reviews, resolving commercial disputes, monitoring contractual compliance, and ensuring partner commitments are tracked and delivered against agreed timelines.
  • Oversee the NDC partner onboarding process end-to-end; coordinating commercial agreements, technical readiness assessments, and go-live support in close partnership with the Manager Distribution Technology & Integration, and tracking adoption progress against agreed milestones.
  • Manage aggregator relationships operationally by ensuring content accuracy, booking flow performance, and commercial terms are monitored, and that any issues impacting distribution quality or cost are identified and resolved promptly.
  • Support the Leisure team in coordinating OTA and agency enablement activities; working with Global Account Managers, Regional Sales and the broader commercial organisation to ensure trade partners have the access, content, tools, and support required to sell Qatar Airways effectively across all channels.
  • Maintain accurate partner records, contractual documentation, and commercial agreement registers; ensuring all partnership terms are current, appropriately approved, and accessible to relevant internal stakeholders including Finance, Legal, and the VP.
  • Monitor and report on partner performance against agreed distribution KPIs; including NDC adoption share, partner delivery metrics, booking volumes by channel, and content coverage to provide regular updates to the Senior Manager Distribution with clear narrative and recommended actions.
