Licensed Aircraft Engineer - Level II (New Capability Component)

About the role:
As a Licensed Aircraft Engineer Level II (New Capability Component), you will be responsible for aircraft and component maintenance to ensure airworthiness and operational readiness. You will also deliver at least one end-to-end capability development project, from feasibility assessment through implementation and capability approval, within your authority. Additionally, you will provide specialized knowledge, skills, and expertise to support safe and efficient maintenance operations.
Some of the tasks include:
- Exercising license/approval privileges in relation to accomplishment of scheduled/unscheduled maintenance and rectification to support aircraft operation.
- Manages team of licensed engineer, licensed technicians, lead mechanics and mechanics in efficient manner on assigned tasks under his domain to ensure timely accomplishment and meet operational requirements
- Primarily responsible for supervising and executing broader assigned responsibilities in terms of supervising aircraft wise assignment or shop specific assignment to enable workshops meeting operational assignment.
- To ensure maintenance is accomplished to required standards as prescribed by Aircraft/Component manufacturer to maintain airworthiness.
- Ensure that all maintenance activities are documented, recorded and completed as per applicable Technical Publication Manual and regulation to maintain aircraft and component airworthiness.
- Ensure replacement parts are of approved type and are incompliance with related regulations and company procedures prior to installation on aircraft/component to maintain airworthiness.
- Ensure Staff under his control adheres to Health and Safety requirement to promote healthy safety culture.
- Implement solution to technical problems with his expertise and skill to minimize operational impact.
- Advising any impending work related problems which can create impact on work progression to workshop manager/supervisor to implement solutions to problems using expertise and knowledge.
- Responsible to optimize man power utilization and all available resources to maintain proper production flow path to meet on time release.
- Defining work priorities to the staff allocated to him to ensure that efficient use of resources are employed to meet tasks completion/component release deadlines.
- Indirectly supervise employees. Direct daily activities, train and discipline to ensure a high standard of service delivery.
- Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

Qualification
About you:
High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on Role) with Minimum 5 years of job-related experience
OR
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 4 years of job-related experience
Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance or Diploma in Engineering or Trade or vocational aircraft maintenance
Preferred:
- Delivered at least one full end-to-end capability development project from feasibility assessment through implementation and capability approval.
- Experience in developing and introducing new component maintenance capabilities within a Part 145 maintenance environment.
- Experience preparing technical evaluations, feasibility studies, and business cases for new capabilities.
- Experience reviewing OEM/MRO shop findings reports, repair quotations, and maintenance data to validate repair requirements, identify cost optimization opportunities, and support repair cost challenges.
- Experience defining tooling, test equipment, facility, special process, and material requirements for new capabilities.
- Familiarity with OEM approval, licensing, and capability extension processes.
- Experience supporting workshop setup, expansion projects, or capability transfers.
- Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow.
