JOB PURPOSE

Ensure smooth operations of waste water treatment plant/systems at various locations and quality of treated water meeting the requirements from Ministry of Municipality and Environment. Support water management in alignment with Environmental policy, standards, objectives and targets.

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Implement quality control plan in collaboration with delivery team and FM contractors to ensure operations of WWTP meet Consent to Operate requirements from MoME.
  • Support delivery team in managing contractors on daily WWTP operations.
  • Check quality of wastewater and treated water through reviewing sampling and analysis reports to ensure MoME requirements are met.
  • Facilitate investigations on wastewater incidents in coordination with teams, contractors, stakeholders; identify root causes; propose corrective/preventive measures.
  • Supervise lab operations at WWTP ensuring MoME requirements are met.
  • Conduct wastewater management audits/inspections with relevant teams to meet requirements in waste management manual and MoME.
  • Review reports for WWTP operation ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
  • Implement emergency response plans for WWTP and other wastewater incidents.
  • Prepare waste management reports for management, invoicing, backcharge.
  • Conduct training/awareness sessions promoting waste management best practices.
  • Perform additional department duties as directed.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • High School/Vocational/Diploma with minimum 5 years job‑related experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 4 years job‑related experience.
  • Supervisory role at wastewater treatment plant.
  • Facility Management experience.
  • ISO14001 Lead Auditor certification.
  • Preferred: Airport experience.

Job Specific Skills 

  • Strong technical knowledge of treated wastewater processes.
  • Knowledge of Environmental & Asset Management Systems.
  • Strong process engineering knowledge.
  • Proficient in water sampling & chemical analysis.
  • Knowledge of local regulations for wastewater treatment.
  • Strong communication and coordination.
  • Managerial ability to delegate, mentor, coach, and manage workflow.
  • Awareness of airport operational constraints
