About the Role
As an IFEC Quality Specialist, you will be responsible for generating detailed performance, usage, and SLA compliance reports, conducting regular quality checks, and monitoring system effectiveness across different fleets. You will work closely with engineering teams and suppliers to identify and resolve connectivity issues, verify service delivery, and support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the passenger connectivity experience
As part of your role, your responsibilities will be inclusive of, but not limited to the following:
- Monitor and access performance portals and supplier dashboards for each connectivity system on a daily and weekly basis to track service status, performance metrics, and incident logs across different aircraft types.
- Generate comprehensive monthly and quarterly performance reports that include detailed analysis of bandwidth usage, user session trends, service uptime, by aircraft type, supplier, and route network.
- Analyze SLA compliance for each supplier by comparing actual system performance against contractual KPIs (e.g., minimum availability %, latency) and escalate discrepancies or persistent issues to management and vendor contacts.
- Manage data dashboards and automated reports using tools like Power Point that present IFEC quality performance, usage insights, and refund case volumes in a visual and accessible format for Management.
- Conduct routine quality checks and validation tests on IFEC portals across various fleets, including Wi-Fi
- Login flows, portal content access, digital menu accuracy, and responsiveness to user interaction.
- Perform functional testing and verification for any new or updated digital features, content, or layout changes on the passenger portal, ensuring successful deployment across all aircraft configurations and reporting any inconsistencies or bugs.
- Collaborate closely with Aircraft Engineering teams to gather technical feedback, and support maintenance actions required to restore or enhance IFEC functionality.
- Coordinate with suppliers to communicate technical findings, confirm service delivery, track resolution timelines, and hold regular performance review meetings with documented outcomes and actions.
- Work with cabin crew and flight operations teams to ensure they are aware of upcoming portal updates, digital menu changes, or connectivity restrictions (such as regional limitations due to regulations or outages shared by suppliers).
- Liaise with Customer Care to gather passenger feedback, analyze refund claims due to connectivity failures, and compile a monthly issue and resolution report highlighting key drivers, supplier accountability, and improvement actions.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (e.g. Marketing) to collect digital assets or operational input required for portal updates or supplier system configurations, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
- Review and validate monthly invoices from connectivity suppliers, ensuring charges aligned with actual service performance, usage levels, and contracted SLA delivery, flag discrepancies and support the Finance team in resolving billing issues.
- Track and document all ongoing issues, test results, change logs, and supplier communications, ensuring all records are properly maintained for audits, internal reviews, or performance benchmarking.
- Stay informed about emerging IFEC technologies, innovations in satellite or wireless communication, and digital enhancements to assess potential integration and make informed recommendations to management for system improvements.
- Actively contributes to continuous improvement efforts by identifying gaps, proposing efficiency enhancements, and supporting trials or evaluations of new suppliers, features, or service models across the IFEC ecosystem.
- Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department

Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, with a minimum of 4 years of job-related experience.
Strong analytical and reporting skills, with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience working with SLAs, performance dashboards, and supplier portals.
Knowledge of in-flight connectivity technologies and digital passenger platforms.
Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
Strong problem-solving skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Understanding of aviation safety, compliance, and data protection standards.
At least 2 years of experience working with IFEC systems within an airline or aviation communications environment.
Experience working with major IFEC suppliers such as Panasonic, Thales, Viasat, or SITAONAIR.
Familiarity with aircraft systems and the operational environment in which IFEC solutions are deployed.
Certification or training in data analysis, quality management, IT systems, or related discipline.
Experience in supplier performance management, contract monitoring, or SLA oversight.
Understanding regional connectivity regulations, including coverage restrictions and data usage requirements
