Engineering Specialist-Rotary Wing
Description
Engineering Specialist is responsible for the safety, reliability and cost analysis of the aircraft types, systems and components under his/her responsibility as well as propose technical solutions to ensure an optimum availability and high reliability of aircraft. He/she is committed to act with overall accuracy and have a technical background of aircraft technology. Support the continuous airworthiness by recommending implementation of Service Bulletins and Airworthiness requirements from the technical point of view and provide engineering support to the other areas together with the Technical Support Engineer.
Main Duties:
- Finding, evaluating and initiating products improvements.
- Reliability monitoring.
- Deferred defect review and prioritisation.
- ETOPS manual revisions and CMP compliance updates.
- Technical publication reviews and recommendations (AAR, SB, SL, etc.).
- Retrofit program recommendations.
- Solving technical problems and liaising with aircraft layovers.
- Trouble shooting and AOG technical support.
- Supporting Senior Manager CAMO and Vice President Technical in regards to their duties.
Qualification
Qualification, Experience & Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree in Aeronautical Engineering or apprenticeship in Technical Profession equivalent to Bachelor’s Degree or holder of a Part 66 License.
Eight years as Systems or Support Engineer in Helicopter CAMO environment.
Proficiency in Maintenance systems i.e.Trax/AMOS.
Proficiency in HUMS System.
Comprehensive aviation knowledge of Helicopters.
Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Ability to make clear, rational decisions under pressure.
Good communications, interpersonal and negotiating skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under demanding operational environments.
