Description

About the role:

Delivers defined workstream outputs within Qatar Airways' Distribution function — operating across any combination of channel economics, partner relationships & enablement, or distribution technology & integration as directed. Works under the guidance of the relevant Manager with a meaningful degree of independence on well-scoped deliverables, bringing subject matter depth across commercial, analytical, and technical distribution domains. Contributes to the full spectrum of distribution activity — from channel mix analysis and partner commercial management through to NDC adoption support, platform connectivity, and system integration across tools including but not limited to Oryx Connect (NDC API), GDS platforms, aggregators, direct connect APIs, and any other distribution technology in scope. Engages with cross-functional teams across Commercial, IT, Revenue Management, Finance, and external distribution partners to ensure workstream outputs are accurate, commercially grounded, and operationally ready.

Key Accountabilities Include:

Strategic

Contribute meaningfully to the planning and execution of workstream deliverables — providing structured analysis, data-driven insights, and well-reasoned recommendations that advance Qatar Airways' distribution objectives across channel economics, partner management, or technical integration as assigned.

Develop and maintain a solid working knowledge across all three distribution pillars — channel economics, partnerships & enablement, and technology & integration — ensuring outputs are informed by an understanding of how commercial decisions, partner relationships, and technical capabilities interact across the distribution ecosystem.

Identify gaps, risks, or inefficiencies within assigned distribution workstreams — bringing observations to the relevant Manager with supporting evidence and proposed solutions that reflect both commercial and technical implications.

Stay current with developments across the distribution technology landscape — including NDC evolution, GDS platform changes, aggregator developments, direct connect advancements, and emerging retailing capabilities — and share relevant insights with the Manager to inform distribution strategy and roadmap decisions.

Operational

Execute assigned distribution workstream tasks to a high standard — including but not limited to channel performance analysis, partner onboarding coordination, NDC adoption tracking, connectivity testing and validation, cost of sale reporting, commercial agreement support, and platform monitoring — adapting across commercial and technical domains as directed by the GR9 Manager.

Support the management of distribution partner relationships at an operational level — coordinating partner communications, tracking commitments, preparing meeting materials, and following up on outstanding actions across GDS providers, aggregators, NDC partners, direct connect counterparts, and other distribution channels including but not limited to Oryx Connect, Amadeus, Sabre, Travelport, and key aggregator platforms.

Assist in the monitoring and reporting of distribution platform performance — tracking connectivity health, booking and servicing flow integrity, NDC functional coverage, and channel cost metrics across all active integrations, and escalating anomalies or degradations to the relevant Manager promptly.

Contribute to the preparation of distribution data, reports, and management presentations — collating information from relevant systems and sources, ensuring accuracy, and structuring outputs in a format that supports clear decision-making by the GR9 Manager and Senior Manager Distribution.

Liaise with cross-functional counterparts in IT, Finance, Revenue Management, Commercial teams, and external partners — gathering inputs, coordinating actions, and ensuring distribution workstream outputs reflect the requirements of all relevant stakeholders.

Support distribution audit, compliance, and governance activities within the assigned workstream — tracking open items, preparing status updates, and coordinating remediation actions through to closure under the direction of the GR9 Manager.

Provide operational guidance and on-the-job support to Distribution Officers within the team — reviewing work outputs, answering technical or commercial queries, and contributing to their development through structured knowledge sharing.
