Qatar Airways are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Group Risk, Safety & Security team as a Compliance Monitoring Manager – Operations in Doha, Qatar.
The Compliance Monitoring Audit Manager – Operations is integral to ensuring the smooth functioning of the Compliance Monitoring System within our regulated environment. It requires close collaboration with the Manager Compliance Monitoring - Operations and involves working with various levels of leadership within Qatar Airways (QR), as well as senior management representatives from external agencies. The Compliance Monitoring Manager – Operations will be responsible for managing and conducting the day-to-day activities within the Compliance Monitoring System. This includes performing operational safety audits within the company and external agencies that are subcontracted to Qatar Airways, to ensure high standards of safety and compliance that are expected are maintained within our organization. The Compliance Monitoring Audit Manager will be responsible for providing independent assurance that the organization complies with aviation regulatory requirements, safety standards, and internal procedures, while supporting a strong safety and compliance culture across all operational areas.
The role is a key pillar of the Safety Management System (SMS) and governance framework, ensuring that regulatory compliance is continuously monitored, deviations are identified early, and corrective actions are effective and sustainable.
Specific responsibilities:
• Manage assigned audits considering regulations and industry standards; including audit planning, document control, evidence gathering and audit reports
• Conduct opening and closing meetings with Nominated Persons and Senior Management personnel from within QR and Ground Handling Companies in relation to audits planned/accomplished. Communicate clearly and unambiguously with senior management internally, as well as externally, audit results and assist in the development and implementation of root causes, corrective and preventive action
• Perform the IATA De-/Anti Icing Quality Control Pool (DAQCP) audits on behalf of the Qatar Airways and IATA, by ensuring the conduct of the assigned de-/ anti icing audits
• Verification of external findings issued by external regulatory authorities (Civil Aviation Authorities - SAFA and QCAA) and follow-up with respective departmental managers within Qatar airways for identification of root cause, development, evaluation and implementation of corrective actions as appropriate in operational areas
• Monitor compliance in the areas of flight operations, crew training, ground operations and security that the standards required by the QCAA Air Ops Regulations (and Air Crew) where required), IOSA, oneworld, and any additional requirements defined by Qatar Airways are being carried out under the supervision of the relevant Nominated Persons
• Demonstrate the reliability and integrity of the internal compliance monitoring system by incorporating an ongoing internal assessment process using IOSA provisions, with the aim of providing a record of continual conformity with IOSA SARPs
• Produce a detailed Conformance Report (CR) of relevant sections audited under the IOSA scope, certified by the designated senior management official, as an accurate record of internal assessments conducted and the status of conformity with ISARPs
• Represent the department at the various Safety Action Group (SAG) meetings and summarise output from the Compliance Monitoring programme and the SAG meetings into the Group Safety and Security Committee meeting.
• Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department

Qualifications
About you
The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:
• Relevant qualifications with a minimum of 6 years of job-related experience
• Must have good knowledge of the hierarchy of QCAR AIR OPS and have a good knowledge of the IOSA and ISAGO SARPs
• Professional Airline/Aviation Auditor Certification
• Knowledge of flight, cabin, cargo and ground operations practices and procedures including Load Control, Aircraft Ground Handling, Ramp Safety, Baggage Handling, Dangerous Goods and Aviation Security
• Certified Auditor to a recognized international standard, such as the International Register of Certificated Auditors (IRCA) / IATA Internal Auditor / IOSA Auditor Training / ISAGO Auditor course
• Required to have successfully completed an Aircraft Ramp Handling, including Dangerous Goods Regulations and Aircraft Weight and Balance course
• Trained in an Air Transport discipline such as Pilot, Engineer, Cabin Crew, Load Controller, Ramp Officer or Flight Dispatcher
• Experience as an IOSA, ISAGO, or DAQCP Auditor within the air transport industry
• An airline Lead Quality Auditor carrying out independent audits
