About Your Role:

You will be responsible for day to day running of Qatar Airways Medical Division (QRMD) pharmacy & pharmaceutical stock and Qatar Airways Medical Kits, ensuring the pharmacy operations and carried out in an efficient manner and chain of custody of Medical Kits from pharmacy to aircrafts is maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the QRMD pharmacy dispensary operations ensuring industry standard pharmacy
    practices are followed.
  • Responsible to manage and oversee Pharmacy Technicians' daily tasks included but not limited to
    operation of receiving, packing, refilling and certifying the Medical Kits and to develop any required
    changes to standard operating procedures or work instructions to ensure good quality operation in a timely
    manner.
  • Responsible for Pharmacy Technicians compliance with relevant Qatari Law and the regulations of
    Pharmacy and Drug Control Authority during the shift working hours.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining accurate database of stocked pharmaceutical items ensuring
    pharmaceuticals inside Medical Kits can be tracked or recalled if required.
  • Responsible for generating unique barcode for pharmaceuticals and Medical Kits ensuring zero duplication
    and correct information.
  • Co-ordinate with suppliers to check pharmaceuticals availability in the market and initiate all
    requests through Qatar Airways e-sourcing and Oracle portal.
  • Responsible to pack, refill Psychotropic and Narcotic substances inside Emergency Medical Kits (EMK),
    issuing EMK conformity certificates and ensure EMKs are securely stowed and handed over to Supply
    Chain.
  • Responsible to hand-over and receive Emergency Medical Kits to the relevant stakeholders and confirm
    Psychotropic and Narcotic substances' remaining quantity ensuring the consumption documents enclosed
    and raise any discrepancy to the Line Manager.
  • Responsible for keeping Drug registry log-books accurate and up-to-date and retain any documents
    required by Pharmacy and Drug Control Authority reference.
  • Develop hard copy reports returned in the Medical Kits as per The Ministry of Public Health instructions.
  • Perform other department duties related to his / her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

Qualification

About you

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 4 years of job-related experience. For Qatari Nationals, a Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent without prior experience.
  • Relevant College or University qualification to min bachelor's level.
  • Should be able to hold pharmacist license to practice in Qatar.
  • Working experience in managing pharmaceutical stock in pharmacy or drug store.
  • Previous experience dealing with wholesale suppliers.

     

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in handling Psychotropic and Narcotic substances in Qatar.
  • Previous relevant experience in large corporate organization.
  • Successfully have passed Qatar Council for Healthcare practitioner evaluation process.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Attention to details.
  • Command of English language.
  • Computer literacy with knowledge on various stock management software.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Quick learner.
  • Critical thinking and organizational skills.
