About the role

We are looking for a Cargo ULD Control Coordinator to join our team in Doha. In this role, you will ensure the efficient control and availability of Unit Load Devices (ULDs) across the Qatar Airways network. Your responsibility is to maintain optimal stock levels, manage ULD movements, and guarantee safe and cost-effective operations for cargo and baggage handling.

You will play a key role in planning ULD requirements, coordinating orders, and ensuring accurate system updates to track ULD distribution network wide.

As part of your role, your key responsibilities will be inclusive of, but not limited to the following:

• Manage and respond to calls, emails, and maintain accurate records and documentation for operational and administrative purposes.
• Inspect ULDs and tie-down equipment for serviceability prior to departure from Doha, ensuring compliance with safety standards to prevent damage to aircraft, passengers, and cargo.
• Monitor and control ULD and tie-down equipment stock across the network to meet operational requirements and maintain adequate availability at all stations.
• Oversee storage and handling of ULDs to prevent damage, arrange repairs for damaged units, and maximize asset utilization while minimizing costs.
• Track and manage the movement of approximately 48,000 ULD units within QR Cargo’s possession.
• Ensure ULD stock files are regularly updated, including movement, positioning, and availability details.
• Coordinate ULD requirements for charters, offline stations, and new start-up stations, including leasing arrangements with other airlines (OAL).
• Maintain records of scrapped ULDs, arrange disposal, and follow up on cost recovery for damaged units.
• Manage specialized products such as VCBS, FCCs, PWGs, and VRKs with proper planning and control.
• Manage interline ULD units to ensure proper handovers and avoid liability for the airline.
• Perform additional duties assigned by the Head of Department.
