Cargo Sales Support Agent (DE.04) – Frankfurt

About the Role

The Cargo Sales Support Agent is responsible for supporting Qatar Airways Cargo’s commercial activities in Germany by delivering efficient quotation management, operational sales support and excellent customer service. The role works closely with the Cargo Sales Executive, Revenue management, Customer Service and other operational stakeholders to ensure timely responses to customer enquiries, optimize sales processes and contribute to sustainable revenue growth.

The position focuses on quotation management, customer support and process excellence while ensuring compliance with Qatar Airways Cargo policies, pricing guidelines and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial & Sales Support

  • Support Cargo Sales in achieving revenue and volume targets through effective commercial support activities.
  • Manage quotation requests from customers and freight forwarders, including pricing preparation, customer follow-up, and shipment materialization monitoring.
  • Ensure compliance with pricing guidelines and support implementation of commercial strategies.
  • Support ad hoc cargo opportunities and special shipment requests.
  • Support customer retention initiatives through proactive customer follow-up and commercial support activities.
  • Coordinate promotional activities, product awareness campaigns, and distribution of commercial communications.

Customer & Account Support

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customers regarding quotations, bookings, and shipment-related inquiries.
  • Support relationship management activities with local and global accounts.
  • Maintain close coordination with customers, operational teams, Ground Handling Agents, and Head Office departments to ensure service excellence.
  • Maintain and update customer information and sales activities within Salesforce.

Sales Operations & Reporting

  • Act as subject matter expert for sales support processes and systems.
  • Support data analysis using Salesforce, Power BI, WACD, and other commercial tools.
  • Monitor quotation conversion rates and provide recommendations for performance improvement.
  • Support departmental KPI tracking and reporting and data accuracy and timely updates within commercial reporting systems.

Process Improvement & Coordination

  • Identify opportunities and support implementation of process improvements to increase efficiency and service quality.
  • Support regional and global cargo sales initiatives and projects.
  • Coordinate follow-up actions between commercial and operational teams.
  • Assist in documenting and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Qualifications & Experience

  • High School Qualification with minimum 5 years of cargo, freight forwarding, airline cargo, sales support, pricing, or commercial experience; or Bachelor's Degree with relevant industry experience.
  • Strong understanding of air cargo operations, tariffs, pricing concepts, sales support, and customer service.
  • Experience in quotation management and commercial analysis.
  • Knowledge of IATA/TACT and Dangerous Goods Regulations is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Power BI, Microsoft Excel, and reporting tools.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent in English and German (written and spoken).
  • Strong network within the German freight forwarding and logistics industry is advantageous.
