In the absence of the Executive Head Chef or Sous Chef, the Junior Sous Chef is responsible for Kitchen operations during a designated shift.The Junior Sous Chef will take control of all aspects of the BOH and production supervision, ensuring all SOPS are adhered to and high standards of both production and sanitation are maintained throughout the facility. The Junior Sous Chef will supervise all staff within the kitchen brigade and ensure that all production is served in line with the quality assurance program and HACCP principles.
This position requires a complete competent understanding and working knowledge of all sections of the kitchen. The position will entail aspects of production, training and mentoring at a department level. You will take decisive decisions and direct staff accordingly during emergency’s, reconcile the shift requirements, placing requisitions and updating the system at the beginning and end of each shift. Handover a clean, sanitary and organized facility at the end of each shift
You will Conduct staff briefings at the beginning and end of each shift and will conducting inspections at all Qatar Duty Free outlets during your shift.
