About the Job:

As a junior cargo reservations agent you will ensure the smooth operational flow of cargo through acceptance and management of bookings. You are required to record reservations and ensure all aspects of the bookings are properly recorded or submitted. You will be responsible to coordinate with cargo sales executives, QR space control and local area GSAs.

Accountabilities :

  • Accept bookings for cargo sales and ensure they are properly inputted into the cargo IT system.
  • Liaises with sales team members and QR space control to ensure each reservation is properly allocated per flight.
  • Record updates on backlog / critical situations to avoid customer complains.
  • Arrange bookings with OAL / Trucking companies  and make use of SPA contracts to ensure satisfactory service to offline destinations.
  • Coordinate between QAS, QR head office and outstations on a shipment requiring special handling / attention to ensure smooth movement of cargo.
  • Provide booking list to ground handling agents (GHA) with the agreed time frame, to effect on time departure of flights.
  • To lad flight reservations in system and coordinate space allocations in relations to reservations with QR space control.
  • Follow up a daily uplift of cargo.
About You:

You will need to have completed your higher secondary school and have 2-3 years of experience in the airline/airfreight industry out of which 2 years has to be job related experience.

You must have knowledge of IATA/TACT regulations and Knowledge in cargo sales will be an added advantage.

You will need to be computer literate, must have good command of written and spoken English and currently be eligible to live and work in Brussels, Belgium
