About Your Job:

This is an exciting opportunity within one of the world’s largest catering companies. Would you like a challenging and varied management position that is based at the prestigious Hamad International Airport (HIA) in Doha serving not only Qatar Airways flights but all the other flights serving at HIA?

The position is a great outlook position for all aspects of catering. You will be the second in command of Executive Chef, will have full control over the kitchen, planning & monitoring, food production, tasks and process, managing chefs on duty, their training & scheduling.

You will be required to effectively delegate and execute instructions given by the Executive Chef and ensure consistent smooth running of food preparation and delivery. You have to monitor and analyses production food standards in terms of quality and as per the client approved specification. You will maintain and checks that meals have been prepared and cooked as per the approved recipe. You will coordinate kitchen activities with Operations Managers and Duty Managers to update them about the revised production plan.  


You are required to establish the department or teams objectives and priorities to align with and support business objectives. You will Oversee and supervise employees. Direct daily activities, recruit, train, develop and discipline to ensure a high standard of service delivery.

About You:

You should have minimum 7 years of job related experience. Previous minimum 2-3 years experience as an Executive Sous Chef or Executive Chef in a high volume flight catering, hotel, private club or restaurant setting is mandatory. Candidate from Airline Catering-Production will have an added advantage.  

International cooking experience. Ability to to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinates' skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members are the key skills required for this role.  

Bachelor degree in Food services OR Hotel management is essential.
