Qatar Duty Free (QDF) is an award winning subsidiary of Qatar Airways, the national airline of the state of Qatar and currently operates at the Departure, Arrivals, VIP and Premium Terminal of Hamad International Airport. As one of the fastest growing Duty Free operations in the world, Qatar Duty Free operates from the new Hamad International Airport (HIA). HIA is also home to the newly created QDF Food & Beverage Division which will set new benchmarks in airport hospitality.

About the Job:

Lead Compliance and Procedures Officer is responsible for monitoring with regulations, policies and procedures, identify process gaps in the business and facilitate the documentation of business process. Handle the Risk Management profile to facilitate business continuity management in QDF. You will be responsible for standardization and maintenance of the Master data of the ERP system along with maintenance and access controls for QDF SharePoint.

 Accountabilities:

  • Review and maintain all existing policy and process within QDFC in a systematic manner, conducting audits with the relevant stakeholders on all internal process ensuring QDFC is in compliance with QR policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with all the different departments within QR to ensure the QDF operational procedures are in line with the corporate requirements and legal requirements and is best suitable to the business/employees.
  • Provide regulatory requirements updates to all the relevant sections within QDFC through established communication channels; and if other departments are also affected by a new/revised regulation/policy/process then ensure coordination with other departments to ensure compliance.
  • Review, consolidate, and maintain any new or updated procedure such as raffle draw ticket, brand incentive, staff commission, cash handling, stock ordering, inventory control within QDFC operational areas, to ensure standardization of format and content.
  • You will facilitate, attend and participate in both internal and external audits to evaluate our compliance level, carrying out compliance report accordingly to the higher management for attention and necessary action.
  • You are responsible for the standardization of all product information before the master data is uploaded into the ERP ensuring it's fully tested prior to the implementation of any promotional activities in HIA to avoid any unexpected system error which will impact the business efficiency.                                                                                                             
About You:

We are looking for a bachelors degree holder or equivalentwith a minimum of 5 years of job-related experience. You should have experience working in retail and supply chain environment, it is essential that you are able to prepare manuals comprising of standard operating procedures and work instruction, deep understanding or risk management policies & procedures. You should have experience dealing with VP and C levels, articulate and must have hands-on experience of using AX system.

In addition, you should also be a team player, problem solver, and have strong organizational skills.
