About Your Job:

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Senior Airport Service Agent to join our team in Birmingham.

You will provide a quality service to passengers in respect to check-in, boarding, special services, lounges, airport hotel and baggage services as per company’s commercial and safety standards and procedures, ensuing passengers and their baggage are handled in a consistent and efficient manner.  You will also ensure premium passengers receive a total quality service, whilst adhering to safety policies and security standards.

Specific accountabilities include:

  • Acting as a first contact between the airline and its customers as well as stakeholders and agents, portraying the QR image to the highest standard
  • Being visible to ensure that the highest level of service and products are provided in a professional manner
  • Ensuring the airport operation meets Qatar Airways standards, policies and procedures satisfy local and international safely and security standards and conform to aviation regulatory requirements
  • Ensuring all areas of operations, i.e. flight ops, aircraft loading, baggage handling, departure, arrival, cargo handling run smoothly and efficiently
  • Monitoring all gate and check-in activities ensuring the accurate, service-oriented acceptance and boarding of passengers
About You:

To be considered for this role, you will need a trade or vocational qualification combined with experience in airport operations of a leading airline or a Ground Handling agent.

An understanding of baggage claim procedures and a working knowledge of WorldTracer is required. You should also be able to effectively manage mishandled baggage, including service recovery situations.  Completion of the Passenger Handling and Customer Service Course, such as the Introduction to Civil Aviation and Passenger Handling is required. 

Ability to work shift work, including nights and weekends is required.

You must have the right to live and work in the UK to be considered for this role.
