As a Senior Manager Operations you will be responsible for the leadership and management of Operations , including Pre-Ops, Crew Control and Help Desk, Integrated Operations Control Centre and Flight Dispatch. You will lead a wide team of specialists responsible for optimal disruption recovery and excellence in On Time Performance. The team must also ensure that the company has effective plans to meet safety and regulatory requirements and initiate emergency response action in accordance with company policy.
This management role is of a senior nature and has high strategic and operational importance to the airline. There exists within the role a significant scope to influence the future success of the business. Due to the strategic significance to the airline and success of the department, the position is accountable to the CEO with direct reporting lines to the Vice President Network Operations.
As a member of senior management team you are expected to manage on-the-day operational performance to ensure that cost effective and consistent disruption recovery responses are initiated / implemented. This role involves enhancement of relations with all relevant departments and other regulatory bodies and the senior executive. The analytical responsibilities also include measuring and tracking department performance and efficiency against key performance indicators and identifying any areas for improvement. Key elements of this role also include development and management of the team to reach their potential, including creating succession plans to allow business continuity.
