About the Job:

As Duty Manager Premium Check-In, you will organize resources effectively and co-ordinate necessary activities to ensure efficient, productive and risk free operation throughout Premium Check In. You will manage all areas of Premium Operations within the airport environment. You will be responsible to oversee a team of supervisors and duty officers within the operational and administrative arenas. You will assure manpower levels in all arenas of the operations and monitor loads within the respective areas. You will deliver high levels of customer service recovery in each area. You will be responsible for overall on-time performance. You will be responsible to handle all investigations for customer complaints. You will assist Manager Premium Lounges with administrative and performance management of staff.

Your key accountabilities include:

  • Manage/ develop the Premium Check-In areas to the highest professional service levels.
  • Increase and maintain passenger's satisfaction as a competitive advantage for Qatar Airways
  • Manager all day-today operational issues, including Premium Check-In, operations, disruption handling and service recovery in accordance with corporate procedures
  • Maintain Senior Reporting Official on station for delivery of contingency plans when required
  • Liaison with all key operational areas on day to day basis
  • Closely manage your own team and all third parties relations that might affect the work area in a developed way such as Ground handling suppliers.
  • Follow-up on customers complaints and communicate the concerned services replies in a short time
  • Establish effective links with key interface departments and local network for day-to-day operational issues
  • Conduct briefing before flight departures and hold de-briefing session with all staff to highlight discrepancies and deficient areas, obtain re-commendations for corrective actions
  • Coordinate with Manager Premium Operations on ongoing action plan for service improvements, adapt all possible methods to achieve/exceed the set up targets.
  • Ensure delayed, denied boarding and STPC passengers are provided with acceptable standard accommodation.
  • Follow-up any issues and communicate results to line manager
  • Monitor service standard for en-route transit passengers, STPC, meals/refreshment and ensure handled in accordance with the company policy/ procedure.
  • Assist and promote the establishment of departmental or teams objectives, assist and support business objective
  • Assure all staff is trained as per the guidelines and mandatory training requirements. 
About You:

You will need to hold a Bachelor Degree or equivalent,  with minimum 5 years of job-related experience. You will need to work in a supervisory level for at least 3 years within Customer Experience in Airline Management /Aviation.

You will have comprehensive knowledge of Airport operations,  which includes Passenger handling and Ground handling.  You will have ability to process and work with confidential information and self -manage assignments. 

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess exceptional multi-tasking, strong leadership, problem solving, thrive on pressure, decision making and  excellent negotiation/influencing skills as you oversee the daily operations on your shift. You will support and monitor your colleagues, providing clear and concise communication to all units of the Hub Operation.
