Department:

Discover Qatar is a Destination Management Company under Qatar Airways Holidays to facilitate the development of Qatar as a tourist destination. 

Discover Qatar brings together accommodation, transport, tours and excursion suppliers together and ensures only quality Ground services to tour operators who want to feature Qatar as a destination 

As a Airport Operations Agent you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service in all areas of the unit in which assigned. You will provide effective operational support to the Senior Airport Operations Agent and to assist the team members.

  • Provide assistance and face-to-face DQ customers services at assigned locations within Hamad International Airport, including Check-in counters and Transit areas.
  •  Assist customers with rebooking city tours when required due to cancelled or delayed flights or misconnections.
  • Provide feedback and updates to the Senior Airport Operations Agent and is in full compliance of company policy and procedures and streamline the process to provide a seamless flow and a memorable experience to all DQ (Discover Qatar) customers throughout the course of their journey.
  • When necessary, provide special assistance to customers with special needs or young travellers and senior citizens
  • Check minor complaints from passengers and escalate out of hand situations to the Senior Team Members promptly when required.
  • Adheres to email and communication protocols, acknowledges change as set by the company.
  • Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.
About You:

Must have a high school qualification or equivalent education certificate. A diploma in Travel and Tourism (IATA) would be an advantage.
You should have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience within the industry. You should be computer literate and familiar with MS Office applications (Word, Excel Power Point and Access). You will have good communication skills and a good command of English, Chinese and Russian language proficiency is an advantage.
