To be successful in this role you must have a minimum of 8 years’ experience working in a similar role, with a Bachelors Degree qualification and more than 3 years’ experience in aero-political and regulatory affairs.
You must have experience in analysis of traffic rights requirements in coordination with Corporate Planning and other departments (Finance, Commercial and Cargo) and have participated in bilateral consultations. You will have knowledge in Bilateral Air Services Agreements and Inter-carrier cooperation for airlines. You will have proven ability to proactively and reactively manage all public policy, government relations and aeropolitical threats and opportunities to protect the interests of an airline, and be able to develop strategies to get the required traffic rights. It is essential that you also have excellent negotiation and lobbying skills.
You must have managerial skills with the ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. It is important that you have strong mentoring and coaching skills with the ability to train and develop subordinate's skills. It is essential that you have excellent English language skills in writing and speaking. Being fluent to communicate in a business environment with a second language is desirable.
