In order to be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing and 10+ years of experience in a related field. A Master’s Degree in Public Relations or Communications would be preferred.
Previous experience developing various communications programs within an airline industry and hands on experience with crisis management as well as relationships with media and field agencies is ideal to this role. A strong focus on public relations and corporate strategy communications is also preferred.
You will need to have proven ability to negotiate at all levels and work within a multi-national and multi-cultural environment. The ability to build relationships with key members of media, agencies, journalist and internal stakeholders are also skills necessary to your success in the role.
