Qatar Aircraft Catering Company (QACC) - An Award-winning catering company, provides exclusive catering services to Qatar Airways and other airlines that service Hamad International Airport.

Job Purpose:

To lead product development for on-board use to meet defined commercial objectives in the delivery of western style culinary offering/ solutions to client airlines. To actively be involved in implementation of the overall menu development process including, costing, consumptions, staff training whilst adhering to agreed customer requirements and specifications. To effectively manage and support Enterprise Resourcing Planning (ERP), to ensure correct transfer of system data to ensure appropriate planning for the production of all western meals and service solutions



  • Manage and develop existing and future menu and products based on the choice of external customers
  • Organise and manage Food menu presentation for internal & external customers
  • To provide innovative and creative ideas and exceptional kitchen capability in developing products with commercial understanding of what will be profitable to the business and the customer user
  • Ability to be creative and cost- conscious in product development
  • To manage a team of chefs to execute products accurately and with constancy
  • To develop products from a range of cuisines, with various different looks and structure of food presentation
  • To implement overall menu development process including costing, consumptions, staff training, as the same time as stay to agreed customer requirements and specifications
  • Manage and support ERP to ensure correct transfer of system data and appropriate planning for the production of all meals and service solutions
  • Develop products and solutions to support the creation of menu grids, specifications through workshop style presentation in consulting with clients airlines
  • Follow up, analysis, recording and the defining of actions in relation to crew Voyage reports pertaining to food, equipment, Standards & Procedures
  • Reports on observations made during off load checks to assist in the minimization of food complaints  across the Qatar Airways (QR) network


  • Take responsibility for own going personal development and growth of expertise
  • Train and Develop other employees, for proper succession planning and risk management
  • Assist in the response to any emergency or am major  operational disruption affecting Qatar Airways or its other duties and responsibilities as requested by Management

Operational Safety

  • Responsible to ensure that employees at all levels understand work, health and safety environment and expectations through provision of relevant QR Group induction, training and supervision
  • Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, security, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the operation to assure employee safety, security, legislative compliance and delivery, of high quality service with a responsible environmental attitude  
Qualifications , Experience & Skills:



  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent


  • Professional accreditation in Hospitality

Previous Experience

  • Specialist - minimum 5 years of job-related experience required

  • Good Knowledge about Food and beverages
  • Must be aware of new trends and directions in the fine dining service industry
  • Basic Food hygiene & HACCAP Skills
  • Planning and supervisory skills
